A full public consultation launches today (Tuesday 1 September) on the future shape of health and care services in the Teignmouth and Dawlish area.
More than 16,000 local people will have the full consultation document delivered to their door, with a pull out questionnaire so they can express their views.
With COVID-19 still circulating, the consultation is taking place in a different way, with live meetings being held online so that the risks of public gatherings are avoided.
People without the internet can ask for a telephone conversation with someone from the NHS headquarters in Devon.
Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is asking people to consider its proposal for moving services from Teignmouth Community Hospital, given that a new £8million Health and Wellbeing Centre is due to be built in the heart of Teignmouth.
The centre will bring GP services, community health and care and voluntary sector services together under one roof in the centre of town, meaning that care can be much more easily coordinated for each patient.
